ERA Gallery annuncia “Shaping Grace and Disquiet”, una mostra collettiva curata da Domenico de Chirico con opere di Chidinma Nnoli, Michael Igwe, Caterina Sammartino, Luca Di Terlizzi e Gianmarco Porru , che inaugurerà giovedì 20 giugno, dalle 18:00 alle 21:00 nella sede di Milano, Via Gioacchino Rossini 3, rimanendo aperta fino al 27 luglio 2024.
“La mostra collettiva Shaping Grace and Disquiet mira a scrutare, attraverso innumerevoli domande, l’oscuro universo del subconscio che misteriosamente tira i nostri fili per determinare le modalità uniche che ognuno di noi adotta quando ha a che fare con la realtà sensuale – quella oscura e spazio impalpabile definito dal filosofo romano Calcidio come un ìtorrente sempre in movimento’.
Tra paesaggi astratti o accennati e umori impenetrabili ma tuttavia corroborati da una preponderanza enigmatico-corporale, i cinque artisti qui invitati – Chidinma Nnoli, Michael Igwe, Caterina Sammartino, Luca Di Terlizzi e Gianmarco Porru – suggeriscono di abbandonarsi alle suggestioni dei sensi, ma solo laddove hanno il potere di fondersi con l’ignoto, aspettando che questa mescolanza generi momenti di rivelazione e slanci sconvolgentemente vitali.”

On show until July 27th 2024.
“The group exhibition Shaping Grace and Disquiet, aims to scrutinise, through countless questions, the dark universe of the subconscious that mysteriously pulls upon our strings to determine the unique modes that each of us adopts when dealing with sensual reality – that dark and impalpable space defined by the Roman philosopher Calcidio as a ‘torrent always in motion’.
Among abstract or hinted landscapes and moods that are impenetrable but nevertheless corroborated by an enigmatic-corporal preponderance, the five artists invited here – Chidinma Nnoli, Michael Igwe, Caterina Sammartino, Luca Di Terlizzi and Gianmarco Porru – suggest that we abandon ourselves to the suggestions of the senses, but only where they have the power to merge with the unknown, waiting for this mixture to generate moments of revelation and shockingly vital outbursts.”
