Chester Arts Fair torna per il sesto anno consecutivo dal 17 al 19 novembre 2017 presso il Chester Racecourse.
La più grande fiera dedicata agli artisti indipendenti del Regno Unito ospiterà diversi artisti britannici e internazionali con oltre 2.000 opere d’arte in esposizione, compresi dipinti, sculture, ceramiche e foto. Un programma completo di live talks e performance dal vivo, offrirà ai visitatori l’opportunità di capire il processo creativo artistico. I punti salienti saranno la scultura dal vivo di Christine Pike ed il live painting di Cheshire Mark Wigan in esposizione con il Chester Art Center.
Gli organizzatori della Fiera “Black Mango Art” ospiteranno la prima competizione internazionale del Chester Art, in gara opere d’arte da tutto il mondo tra cui America, Corea del Sud, Francia, Germania e Regno Unito. L’Open Arts è una piattaforma per gli artisti emergenti per presentare il loro lavoro ad un pubblico più ampio.
I visitatori di quest’anno avranno l’opportunità di comprare opere del valore di 500 sterline a sole 100 sterline, il ricavato di queste vendite andrà alla campagna CAF100, i fondi raccolti andranno A The Countess Charity and the Babygrow Appeal. Gli artisti hanno donato un pezzo per sostenere la campagna, ma bisogna affrettarsi poiché questi pezzi di solito non rimangono appesi a lungo. Lesley Woodhead, responsabile della raccolta fondi presso il Chester Hospital ha commentato “Gli artisti hanno donato opere per raccogliere fondi per l’appello di Babygrow. Pezzi del valore di centinaia di sterline come Phillip Gerrard, Pete Aitchison e molti altri saranno in vendita a 100 sterline. Speriamo che i visitatori riescano a trovare un affare e raccogliere fondi per una grande causa“.
La “sala espositiva” è sponsorizzata dalla Fabulous Chair Company di Tarporley. Una stanza progettata per i visitatori dove immaginare i loro pezzi d’arte scelti in un ambiente che replica l’interno di una casa. Questa è un’occasione per i collezionisti di esprimere e portare i loro pezzi d’arte preferiti.
La coordinatrice della fiera artistica Laura O’Hare dice: “Chester Art Fair consente ai visitatori di accedere ad opere d’arte a prezzo accessibile e opere d’arte originali di alcuni tra i più importanti artisti internazionali. La fiera è anche entusiasta di annunciare emozionanti programmi e laboratori d’arte dal vivo che apprezzeranno anche famiglie e appassionati d’arte, infatti la fiera ospiterà lo staff dello zoo di Chester, in quanto sono previsti una serie di attività di ricreazione e artigianato gratuite aperte ai bambini di tutte le età”.
Chester Art Fair aprirà venerdì 17 novembre con un Anteprima VIP per la Countess of Chester Hospital. Durante il week end la Fiera è aperta sabato 18 e domenica 19 novembre dalle 10:30 alle 17:00.

Returns for 6th Edition
The Deepbridge Chester Arts Fair will return for the sixth consecutive year at Chester Racecourse from 17th – 19th November 2017. The UK’s largest artist art fair will have plenty in store for everyone with the arrival of British and international artists showcasing over 2,000 pieces of art on display to purchase, including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, photography and mixed media artwork.
A full programme of live talks and demonstrations by well-recognized artists will offer visitors the opportunity to experience and gain an understanding of the process of creating art as well as the artists’ personal source of inspiration. Highlights include live sculpting by Christine Pike as well as live painting by Cheshire Artist Mark Wigan exhibiting with the Chester Art Centre.
The Fair organisers Black Mango Art will be hosting its first international open arts competition, showcasing artwork by the winning finalists from around the world including America, South Korea, France, Germany and the UK. The Visual Arts Open is a platform for emerging artists to present their work and originality to a wider audience; all of which the Fair is proud and delighted to support.
Fair goers will this year have the opportunity to pick up a piece of art worth up to as much as £500.00 plus for as little as £100 as part of the CAF100 campaign, raising money for The Countess Charity and the Babygrow Appeal, the Fair’s nominated charity partner. Exhibiting artists have donated a piece of art to support the campaign but visit the Fair quick as these pieces of wont hang around long. Lesley Woodhead, Head of Fundraising at the Countess of Chester Hospital commented “The artists have donated generously to raise funds for the Babygrow Appeal. Pieces worth hundreds of pounds from award-winning fine artist Phillip Gerrard, travel photographer Pete Aitchison, and many more will go on sale for just £100. We hope people will come along to find a bargain and raise money for a great cause”.
The Fair is delighted to welcome staff from one of Cheshire’s leading attractions Chester Zoo this year as they host a range of free fun arts and crafts activities as they combine conservation and creativity in the dedicated Children’s Area, open to children of all ages between 11-4 Saturday and Sunday. A variety of hot and cold beverages and food will be available throughout the weekend at ‘The Turf’ café situated inside the building.
Returning to the fair is the ‘Display Room’ sponsored by the Fabulous Chair Company from Tarporley. A room designed for visitors to envision their chosen pieces of art in a setting that replicates the interior of a house. This is an opportunity for art collectors to express and bring their favoured art pieces to life.

The Fair will open Friday 17th November with a Charity VIP Preview for the Countess of Chester Hospital. Over the weekend, the Fair is open Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th November from 10:30am to 17:00.
